Luther proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Aquinas Blugolds 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since September 6th.

Cara Unke paced Luther's offense, picking up ten kills. Unke got some help from Addie Schaper and her 24 assists. Kamryn Anderson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

When it comes to explaining why Aquinas lost, don't look at Norah Poellinger. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and two assists. Poellinger has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Luther's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Aquinas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Luther didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Ellsworth on the 4th. As for Aquinas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Nekoosa on the 4th.
