Baseball Recap: United Takes a Loss

United saw some tournament action on Sunday. They fell just short of the Rockwood Rockets by a score of 5-4. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryan Felix put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Felix was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, James Kordish made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season. Dmitri Worthington was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

United's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Rockwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

United has already played their next match, a 10-9 loss against West Shamokin on the 14th. As for Rockwood, they will welcome Berlin Brothersvalley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
