The home team had won the previous four meetings between Poly and Grant, and Poly kept the tradition alive. The Parrots took down the Lancers 42-24 on Friday. For the Parrots, this counts as revenge for the 41-10 victory the Lancers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

It was another big night for George Flores, who threw for 365 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.2 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground. 88 of Flores' passing yards were hauled in by Justin Becerra, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Despite the loss, Grant still got an impressive performance from Caleb Whaley, who rushed for 87 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 87 receiving yards and one score.

Poly's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Grant, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
