Baseball Game Preview: Sun Valley Vanguards vs. Bayard Rustin Golden Knights

The Sun Valley Vanguards will venture away from home to challenge the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Sun Valley is looking for their season's first win.

On Wednesday, Sun Valley came up short against Avon Grove and fell 6-1.

Sun Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Messick, who went 2-for-3 with one run. That run marked the first that Messick has scored this season.

Meanwhile, Bayard Rustin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to Downingtown West.

Bayard Rustin now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Sun Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Sun Valley couldn't quite get it done against Bayard Rustin in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 5-0. Can the Vanguards avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
