Basketball Recap: Shiloh Comes Up Short

Shiloh suffered their biggest loss since November 30, 2024 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 72-45 loss at the hands of the Woodward Academy War Eagles. The Generals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.

Woodward Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lauryn Dennis-Cooper, who went 7 for 10 en route to 15 points and three steals. The match was Dennis-Cooper's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kayla Whitner, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points.

Shiloh is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12. As for Woodward Academy, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Shiloh won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tri-Cities at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Woodward Academy, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Lakeside at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
