Rison posted their closest win since March 17, 2025 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the McGehee Owls. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Owls: they've now won four in a row.

Rison's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for McGehee, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Rison will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on DeWitt at 5:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for McGehee, they will be playing at home against Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
