Volleyball Recap: River Christian Starts Season with Win Against North Georgia Homeschool

River Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the North Georgia HomeSchool Tribe.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day River Christian got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-14, 24-26, 25-21, 15-25, 15-11.

Despite the defeat, North Georgia HomeSchool saw an underclassman step up: freshman LEXI SIKORSKI had eight aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Georgia HomeSchool fell to 2-1.

River Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sugar Hill Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on September 26. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, they will welcome Covenant Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
