Basketball Recap: Christian Fenger Academy Comes Up Short

On Wednesday, the Christian Fenger Academy Titans came up short against the Brooks Eagles and fell 52-40.

Brooks' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Antwonette Golatte, who posted 21 points. That's the most points Golatte has posted since back in January of 2024. Siri Williams was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Christian Fenger Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Brooks, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Christian Fenger Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Carver at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Christian Fenger Academy's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Carver has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Brooks, they will challenge Chicago Vocational at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Brooks has three straight wins, Chicago Vocational has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
