Basketball Recap: Fort Leboeuf Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Fort LeBoeuf won the last time they faced Franklin and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fort LeBoeuf Bison walked away with a 52-43 victory over the Franklin Knights. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Knights are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Franklin lost, don't look at Will Findlan. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Umbenhaur, who scored seven points.

Fort LeBoeuf is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Fort LeBoeuf will venture away from home to challenge Oil City at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Oil City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Franklin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Conneaut Area at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
