Baseball Recap: Wahluke Takes a Loss

Wahluke had lost nine straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-16 to make it ten. They lost 24-2 to the Cashmere Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 on Tuesday.

As for Cashmere, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.

For Cashmere's part, they got a massive performance out of Rylan Hatmaker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Jake Peterson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Wahluke does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cashmere, they will face off against Kiona-Benton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
