Baseball Recap: Brainerd Comes Up Short

Brainerd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 22-4 to the Marion County Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Wednesday.

Brainerd's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Marion County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Brainerd will head out to take on Sequatchie County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marion County, they will be playing at home against Lookout Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lookout Valley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.23 runs per game on average), something Marion County will no doubt try to take advantage of.
