Softball Recap: Manor New Tech's Win Ends 15-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Manor New Tech's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Northeast Early College Raiders an 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Manor New Tech, who have now won three games by 18 runs or more so far this season.

Lynette Munoz and Lelani Ceballos were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Munoz tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ceballos tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single walk in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Munoz scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Ceballos went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Manor New Tech got a massive performance out of Camila Gallegos Alvarez, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-2. With that strong performance, Gallegos Alvarez is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Gabriella Guardiola was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI.

Manor New Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .800. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
