Softball Recap: Newman Takes a Loss

Newman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-0 to the Assumption Royals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 on Tuesday.

Newman's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Assumption, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newman will venture away from home to challenge Rib Lake at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Assumption, they will head out to face off against Athens at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
