Recap: Unity Christian Academy Phoenix vs. Islamic Foundation Chargers
The Unity Christian Academy Phoenix scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 88-30 victory over Islamic Foundation at home. Unity Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
Unity Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shamar Coleman led the charge by scoring 22 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Coleman hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Robinson, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
The win (which was Unity Christian Academy's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for Islamic Foundation, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Coincidentally, Unity Christian Academy and Islamic Foundation will both be playing College Prep of America the next time they take the court. Unity Christian Academy will head out to face College Prep of America at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Islamic Foundation will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
