Softball Recap: Dixon Rams vs. El Camino Eagles
Dixon was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against El Camino on Thursday. Dixon was the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over El Camino. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 12 runs or more this season.
Dakota Gaball was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Gaball was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, Dixon let Emily Morris and Bianca Montano run wild. Morris went 3-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI, while Montano scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Those three doubles gave Morris a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordin Callen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Dixon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as El Camino only posted a batting average of .217.
