Basketball Recap: Jefferson-Morgan Starts Season with Victory Against Avella

Jefferson-Morgan gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They managed a 43-37 victory over the Avella Eagles. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Among those leading the charge was Jeremiah Robertson, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (five). John Woodward was another key player, shooting 63% from the field on his way to 11 points and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Avella fell to 2-1.
