Volleyball Recap: Buffalo Takes a Loss

Buffalo extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Albans Red Dragons. The Bison were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for St. Albans, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since October 10, 2024.

Natalie Harris was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 17 digs and one assist. Those 17 digs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellah Smith, who had three digs and one block.

Coming up, Buffalo will take on James Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Albans, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Wirt County on the 28th.
