Baseball Game Preview: Prairie Falcons vs. Battle Ground Tigers

The Prairie Falcons will head out to challenge the Battle Ground Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Prairie nor Kelso made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hilanders, sneaking past 4-2.

Prairie saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Drogos, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Nolan Nunn was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Battle Ground won against Union on Thursday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Tigers came out on top against Evergreen by a score of 5-2. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Prairie's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Battle Ground, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Prairie beat Battle Ground 5-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
