Baseball Game Preview: Ringgold Rams vs. West Mifflin Titans

For the second straight game, Ringgold will face off against West Mifflin. The Rams will take on the Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Ringgold 3.9, West Mifflin 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Ringgold fell victim to West Mifflin and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost five in a row.

For West Mifflin's part, Jackson Fite tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Fite has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, West Mifflin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Tudek, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

West Mifflin pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Ringgold, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
