Soccer Preview: Mechanicville vs. Scotia-Glenville        
        
		
             The Mechanicville Red Raiders are taking a road trip to  face off against the Scotia-Glenville Tartans  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Mechanicville is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
 Scotia-Glenville better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Mechanicville really get things going. Mechanicville never let South Glens Falls onto the board and left with  a   4-0  victory  on Monday. Give the Red Raiders' defense some credit: that's the team's eighth straight shutout.
 They hit South Glens Falls with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Gianna Narnia, 
 Molly Disiena, 
 Gianna Pitts,  and 
 Maddy Hopeck.
 Meanwhile, Scotia-Glenville had to endure  a  four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They and Glens Falls finished up on equal footing with  a  1-1 draw on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tartans as the   squad haven't won a game since September 17th.
 Mechanicville's win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 8-0-1. Scotia-Glenville's  draw makes their record 1-6-3  this season.
 Everything went Mechanicville's way against Scotia-Glenville in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023, as Mechanicville made off with  a  6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mechanicville since the  team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
