Baseball Game Preview: Brush Arcs vs. Chardon Hilltoppers

Brush is 1-9 against Chardon since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Arcs will head out on the road to square off against the Hilltoppers at 4:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Brush came up short against Roosevelt and fell 7-2. The Arcs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kyle Farrell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, Chardon entered their tilt with Mayfield on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Wildcats. That's two games straight that the Hilltoppers have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Stone Fawcett, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Brush's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Chardon, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Brush suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Chardon in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Can the Arcs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
