Basketball Recap: Eugene Takes a Loss

Eugene lost against Linn back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles fell 49-41 to the Wildcats.

Linn found their leader in sophomore Carley Brandt, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. Brandt has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Paige Senevey, who posted five points and five boards.

Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Linn, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eugene will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hallsville at 6:15 p.m. on the 16th. As for Linn, they will face off against Iberia at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
