Baseball Game Preview: Jupiter Warriors vs. Nova Titans

The Jupiter Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Nova Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Jupiter 2.9, Nova 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Jupiter is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering NSU University just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 4-1 to the Sharks. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jupiter saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Senecal, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Nova fell victim to Coral Glades and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 2-0. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly two runs.

Ayden Paredes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for Nova and nudges their season record down to 7-5. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for Jupiter, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
