Recap: Buffalo Bison vs. Versailles Tigers
The Buffalo Bison lost against the Versailles Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Buffalo took a serious blow against Versailles, falling 83-32. While losing is never fun, Buffalo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 431st, while Versailles is ranked 47th).
Ryder Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with three steals for Versailles. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Versailles' points. Tristan Albrecht was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Buffalo and nudges their season record down to 4-14. As for Versailles, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo will take on Ash Grove at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Versailles, they will be playing at home against Boonville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Versailles has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,726 points over their last 22 games.
