Basketball Recap: Clearfield Takes a Loss

Clearfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Bountiful RedHawks, falling 69-44. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the RedHawks are ranked 15th).

Clearfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Bountiful, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearfield will challenge Box Elder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Box Elder knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Clearfield likes a good challenge. As for Bountiful, they will square off against Roy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bountiful is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
