Basketball Recap: Thomas Stegall's Big Game Can't Quite Lead St. Vincent De Paul Academy over Frontier School of Excellence

St. Vincent de Paul Academy was the 58-51 winner over Frontier School of Excellence when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Vincent de Paul Academy Hawks lost 61-39 to Frontier School of Excellence on Tuesday.

St. Vincent de Paul Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Thomas Stegall, who went 5-for-10 en route to 14 points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was George Spencer, who posted eight points and six assists.

St. Vincent de Paul Academy dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Frontier School of Excellence, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

St. Vincent de Paul Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Frontier School of Excellence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Guadalupe Centers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
