Baseball Game Preview: Jesuit Tigers vs. Bonita Springs Bullsharks

For the second straight game, Jesuit will face off against Bonita Springs. The Tigers will face off against the Bullsharks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Jesuit 2.4, Bonita Springs 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Jesuit heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of Bonita Springs by a score of 4-3. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

For Bonita Springs' part, Jhon Rodriguez looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Rodriguez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jacob Estrada, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Bonita Springs' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-12. As for Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-9.
