Baseball Recap: Kane Takes a Loss

Kane lost against Port Allegany back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolves fell just short of the Gators by a score of 9-8. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eric Novosel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Kane now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Port Allegany, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Kane will challenge Bradford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Owls' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Port Allegany, they will take on Northern Potter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
