Soccer Recap: Huntsville Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Huntsville was not quite Brenham's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Brenham Cubs by a score of 1-0. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cubs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Huntsville's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8-2. As for Brenham, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.

Huntsville and Brenham could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Huntsville will square off against Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 436 places (645 vs. 209). Similarly, Brenham (ranked 558th) will meet A&M Consolidated (ranked 77th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
