Ridgecroft hadn't done well against Pungo Christian Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 3-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win two weeks ago.

While Ridgecroft might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pungo Christian Academy scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 18-25, 25-18.

Klaire Cherry paced Ridgecroft's offense, picking up 18 kills. Cherry got some help from Lacey Berryman and her 28 assists. Cherry also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Aubrey Stephenson, each putting up six.

Ridgecroft has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Pungo Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Looking ahead, Ridgecroft will head out on the road to take on Halifax Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pungo Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
