Volleyball Recap: Escalon Finds Playoff Glory Versus El Dorado

It's playoff time, and Escalon had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 win over El Dorado on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but Escalon sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Escalon was led to victory by Brynn Caton and Emma Strong. Caton had five digs and four aces, while Strong had 13 digs, 11 kills, and three aces. That's the most aces Strong has posted over her last seven matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Escalon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive contests.

The victory got Escalon back to even at 15-15. As for El Dorado, their loss dropped their record down to 19-10.

Escalon has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Sonora on the 4th. El Dorado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
