Baseball Recap: Sunnyside Takes a Loss

If Sunnyside was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Kiona-Benton on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sunnyside Grizzlies took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the River View Panthers on Wednesday.

Trey Castro was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Mohr, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Sunnyside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Sunnyside will square off against Pasco at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River View, they will face off against Prosser at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
