Football Recap: Pendleton County Takes a Loss

Pendleton County extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were beaten by the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts 48-7. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Juggernauts are ranked 45th).

As for Lloyd Memorial, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 44.3 points this season.

Lloyd Memorial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from MARJA PETERSON, who rushed for 80 yards and one score. PETERSON's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. ISAIAH JONES was another key receiver, gaining 82 total yards and a touchdown.

Pendleton County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carroll County at 7:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Lloyd Memorial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bourbon County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Colonels' defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so the Juggernauts' offense will have their work cut out for them.
