Football Recap: William Penn Piles Up the Points Against Red Lion

William Penn won the last time they faced Red Lion and things went their way on Friday too. The Bearcats breezed past the Lions to the tune of 52-20. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bearcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Lions are ranked 289th).

Although Red Lion took the loss, they still got scores from Yensiel Roman Gonzalez, Octavius Thompson, and Julian Cedrone.

William Penn now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Red Lion, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. William Penn will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Dallastown at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Red Lion, they will venture away from home to challenge South Western at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.6 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
