Baseball Recap: Craig County Falls to Staunton River in First Game of Season

Craig County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Staunton River Golden Eagles on Monday, falling 21-3. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Craig County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marcus Donithan, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Craig County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 loss against Bland County on the 20th. As for Staunton River, they have also already played their next match, a 4-3 victory against Brookville on the 19th.
