Baseball Recap: Starmount Victorious

Starmount's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the North Wilkes Vikings 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted against the Vikings since April 23, 2019.

Starmount got a great performance from Wade Pfaff as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Pfaff a new career-high.

The win got Starmount back to even at 2-2. As for North Wilkes, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Starmount didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-4 loss against Forbush on the 7th. As for North Wilkes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against East Wilkes on the 7th.
