River Ridge proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Potosi Chieftains 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Timberwolves: when they faced off against the Chieftains last Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

River Ridge wouldn't go down easily and took Potosi into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 21-25, 17-25, 25-10, 15-12.

Erin Adrian paced River Ridge's offense, picking up 13 kills. Adrian got some help from Mallory Crubel and her 27 assists. Finally, Adrian was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Several Chieftains players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lexi Harris, who had 22 digs. Kloe Sedbrook was another key player, getting 17 digs.

River Ridge pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Potosi, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
