Volleyball Recap: Fergus Gets the Win

Fergus won the last time they faced Dawson County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Red Devils.

Fergus was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 19-25, 25-9.

Kiera Southard paced Fergus' offense, picking up nine kills. Southard got some help from Blythe Armstrong and her 16 assists. Kealey Ackaret controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Fergus has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Dawson County, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Fergus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Custer County on the 23rd. As for Dawson County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Baker on the 23rd.
