Basketball Recap: Episcopal Comes Up Short

Episcopal lost against Harding Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Episcopal Wildcats fell 42-33 to the Harding Academy Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Harding Academy is ranked 25th).

It was another big night for Claire Citty, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds for Harding Academy. Citty has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times she's played. Mileigh Harlow was another key player, putting up six points and 11 rebounds.

Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Harding Academy, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Looking ahead, Episcopal will face off against Bald Knob at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harding Academy, they will challenge Tuckerman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Harding Academy's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Tuckerman has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
