Recap: Friendly Patriots vs. Surrattsville Hornets
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Friendly Patriots ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They snuck past Surrattsville with a 79-74 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Friendly's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ammanuel Bisrat led the charge by scoring 20 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bisrat has scored all season. Maddox Graham was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Friendly is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Surrattsville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Friendly will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglass at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglass is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Surrattsville, they will face off against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 277 points over their last four games.
