Basketball Recap: Hiwassee Dam Comes Up Short

Hiwassee Dam was the 57-49 winner over Hayesville when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hiwassee Dam Eagles took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hayesville Yellowjackets on Tuesday. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Hiwassee Dam's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Hayesville, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hiwassee Dam will host Andrews at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hayesville, they will welcome Chattanooga Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
