Andalusia had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Charles Henderson Trojans a 16-0 shutout on Friday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Kailey Jackson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taya Newton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Austin Seal was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Andalusia hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matches.

Andalusia pushed their record up to 28-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Charles Henderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Andalusia beat the Trojans by a score of 15-0 later that day.
