Basketball Game Preview: Canal Winchester Indians vs. Lancaster Golden Gales

The Canal Winchester Indians will head out to challenge the Lancaster Golden Gales at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lancaster took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Canal Winchester, who comes in off a win.

Canal Winchester took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 60-50 victory over Logan. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Chieftains recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Lancaster was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 57-52 to Reynoldsburg. While losing is never fun, the Golden Gales can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Raiders are ranked 125th).

Canal Winchester's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Lancaster, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Canal Winchester skirted past Lancaster 43-40 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canal Winchester since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
