Mitchell has earned MaxPreps Nebraska High School Football Player of the Week honors.
In a 55-24 win over Wheatland (Wyo.), the senior ran six times for 133 yards and four touchdowns, recorded eight tackles
including a tackle for a loss, deflected a pass, made seven of eight
PATs and scored 31 points.

Omaha Westside: Returned a kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown, returned four punts for 74 yards, caught a pass for a 27-yard touchdown, made three tackles and intercepted a pass in a 57-7 win over Creighton Prep.

Isak Doty,
Sidney: Completed 10 of 17 passes for 96 yards and a score, ran the ball 30 times for 182 yards and four touchdowns, made a tackle and intercepted a pass while also handling the kicking and punting duties in a 32-23 win over Holdrege.

Orrin Kuehn,
Minden: Returned the opening kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown, made six tackles including one for a loss, carried the ball 16 times for 67 yards and caught three passes for 32 yards in a 7-6 loss to Hastings Adams Central.

Trent McCain,
Ord: Ran the ball 16 times for 170 yards and four touchdowns, made two tackles, a sack and caused a fumble in a 49-29 win over Central City.

Coryion Perry,
Bryan (Omaha): Completed 17 of 24 passes for 353 yards and three touchdowns and caught a pass for a 62-yard score in a 47-7 win over Omaha South.
