Basketball Recap: Pleasant Ridge Gets the Win

Pleasant Ridge won the last time they faced Jefferson County North, and Wyatt Wilburn did his part to make sure it happened again. The Pleasant Ridge Rams walked away with a 59-46 victory over the Jefferson County North Chargers on Tuesday thanks in part to Wilburn, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 boards gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Layton, who posted ten points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Pleasant Ridge now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Jefferson County North, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Pleasant Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Horton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season. As for Jefferson County North, they will head out to face off against Valley Falls on Friday.
