Soccer Recap: Monterey Takes a Loss

Monterey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greenfield Bruins.

Monterey's goal came courtesy of Ethan Bonilla, who's now up to 18 this season.

Monterey's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Greenfield, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Monterey didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against North Salinas on the 13th. As for Greenfield, they will be playing at home against Alisal at 5:45 p.m. on February 18th.
