Softball Recap: East Mecklenburg Eagles vs. Ballantyne Ridge Wolves
East Mecklenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves.

Bella Welch stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Geneva Garvais was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
