Basketball Game Preview: Heppner Mustangs vs. Irrigon Knights

Heppner is 9-1 against Irrigon since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home court against the Knights at 7:45 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Heppner put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past Weston-McEwen 86-26. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Irrigon hadn't done well against Enterprise recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Knights secured a 59-53 W over the Outlaws. The game was the first time the Knights have beaten the Outlaws on their court since December 2, 2017.

Irrigon now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Heppner, they moved to 17-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
