Basketball Game Preview: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Resurrection Christian Cougars

The Brush Beetdiggers will take on the Resurrection Christian Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Brush is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Windsor Charter Academy 57-34 on Friday.

Michelle Headley went supernova for Brush, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 23 boards. Headley has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 32 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelynn Middlemist, who posted ten points and eight boards.

Brush smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Resurrection Christian over Forge Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Resurrection Christian blew Forge Christian out of the water with a 54-25 final score. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 25 points or more this season.

Resurrection Christian pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Brush, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Brush took a serious blow against Resurrection Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 70-31. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Brush was down 47-12.
