Pine gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Benjamin Buccaneers by a score of 41-29.
Pine got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emily Shirk out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. The match was Shirk's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Aspen Schellenberg was another key player, earning eight points in addition to three steals.
Pine and Lake Worth are set to duel on Friday. Pine is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Benjamin, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 82-8 defeat against Westminster Academy on the 20th.
